Breathe For Better Pelvic Floor Function
Breathing plays a fundamental role in pelvic floor health. As Dr. Sarah Ellis Duvall says, “It all starts with the breath.”
In many cases of pelvic floor dysfunction, the pelvic floor itself is not the primary issue. During my in person client assessments, dysfunctional breathing patterns are often identified as a significant contributing factor. Many clients struggle to achieve a full 360° inhale into the rib cage and instead rely predominantly on chest breathing. Others may demonstrate paradoxical breathing patterns, where the chest expands before the abdomen.
The exercises demonstrated in this video are designed to address these breathing inefficiencies, promote more effective 360° breathing, and support optimal pelvic floor function.
